Over twenty years, Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky have collaborated to push the art of nonfiction filmmaking to new heights. Though their work is often visually stunning, it's their natural ability to connect with their subjects and their surefooted storytelling that has made films like Brother's Keeper and Paradise Lost classics of the genre. What's more, their movies have changed the world, bringing worldwide attention to the plight of three teenagers unjustly accused of a horrific crime. Their clarity of vision and their willingness to give voice to difficult truths makes them the perfect candidates to receive the first annual True Vision Award for advancement of the art of nonfiction filmmaking.

Award presentation: Saturday, Feb. 14, 4pm, Missouri Theatre (immediately prior to screening of Metallica: Some Kind of Monster)
