Innovative filmmakers are mixing together documentary and animation,
stretching our ideas of what can be done with each. Featured are 15
animated documentaries produced in Columbia at a fall workshop as well
as some of the best new works from around the world including the
Oscar-nominated
Ryan (14 min.), the story of an acclaimed artist
who now panhandles in Montreal.
International: Birdlings Two (6 min.) — a daughter's
discovery that her buttoned-down father has a past as a more uninhibited
animator.
Obsessively Compulsive (6 min.) — one man's
struggle to not think about Saddam Hussein.
Backseat Bingo (5
min.) — the romantic lives of senior citizens.
