In 1988, Mark Lewis made the classic Cane Toads: An Unnatural History, an outlandishly entertaining documentary about how an imported amphibian menaced his native country of Australia. For T/F, we import Mark to cause some trouble in Columbia. Since Cane Toads, Mark's films have pushed nonfiction to its fantastic limits, returning again and again to explore the intersection between humans and critters — from rats and chickens to cats and show cattle (see Reel Gone Round-up). In this master class he shares clips from his unusual career and mixes in his engaging filmmaking philosophy.
