They Might Be Giants are in fact titans of the indie rock scene. They've charted a unique musical course that owes little to conventional wisdom or the whims of the pop universe. From dial-a-song to their wildly popular kids albums, this is a band that is capable of almost anything. And, for a band that hasn't had its share of drug overdoses or wild hotel room antics, they still made for pretty great documentary subjects in AJ Schnack's great film Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns. So, with their doc creds firmly established, we invited them down to help us bring an end to True/False 2008. They accepted, and the rest, as of this Sunday night, will be history.
