Based in Columbia, Pictures of the Year International celebrates the best photojournalism. Join director Rick Shaw and photojournalists Lynn Johnson and Soren Pagter to spotlight the best photography and multimedia work happening today. Johnson is known for her intense and sensitive work including Hate Kills, a book and traveling exhibit space about the impact of hate crimes on American society. Soren Pagter has been in charge of the photojournalism program at the Danish School of Media and Journalism since 1998. He was honored in the 64th POYi for reporting a trip to Uganda.
